Hollow Body Studios is a 32-track Pro-Tools digital recording studio facility located in western Nassau County, NY. We are just 10-minutes south of the Grand Central Parkway and within 15-miles of New York City.

While we can record many types of artists, we primarily focus on roots - rock / acoustic - electric artists and bands.

ABOUT OUR STUDIO

Neumann, SSL, Avalon, Universal Audio, Apogee. Our studio gear is state of the art digital AND analog so you can get the best of both worlds. Our main recording and mixing system is
32 -track Pro Tools. Pro Tools is widely considered the industry standard in digital recording. Most of the top recording artists of today use Pro Tools in one way or another on their records. We also have a 1/2" analog mix-down deck, plenty of tube processors / compressors / preamps, large-diaphram condenser and tube mics and among the best mastering software around. Our Yamaha NS-10M near field monitors are also considered to be the industry standard. Visit our equipment lists page for more details.

AUDIO SAMPLES / SOUNDS:

It would seem that a recording studio's website would be the perfect place for audio samples of their work. We agree. We've grouped our samples in genre medley mp3 files. Each medley has between 1 - 4 short samples of songs that fit into the style of music listed. Please keep in mind that even high quality mp3 files do not match cd quality audio. But they still sound darn good!

You can take advantage of our services in many ways.

Need to start your project from scratch? No problem, we can record you and / or your band and capture that "live" sound or go for a more "pristine" studio sound.

Already mixed and need to master? Hollow Body Studios has some of the most highly regarded mastering software in the industry. We'll get your music as loud, warm, bright and punchy as it can possibly be. Through special compressors, optimizers and EQ's, we'll make your music sound the best it can.
